Just thought I'd call in for sweet sherry and a bag of vole flavoured crisps....adding some considerable class to the place at the same time !

You're very welcome. Are you THE Ted, with the 1952 Javelin? If so, even more welcome!

Welcome Ted. Let's not discuss football. But you know that because your team was shite until bought by a billionaire who has put a lot of money in. After that is the previous owner that was corrupt too. Genuine welcome from me. As I say avoid footy

Yeah, Avanti, that's me. Thanks for welcome. Was gonna put a pic of it on me profile but haven't found how to yet. OK Rob.......weren't MU and LFC bought by billy on airs ? Any road up, won't talk footy...even if we have a footy thread.
Is me old mate Dog in the bar yet ?

We're Sunderland supporters here - my wife supported them as a child. So we're going through the will they/won't they stay up ritual again.
Even Sunderland is owned by someone rich - but not rich enough :-)
If you go into Profile on the bar above, then Edit profile you can then amend you're avatar. So you can select a stock image or upload your own.

Sunderland eh ? Ah well. I won't intrude into private grief. Thanks for the tip, I'll try after me lunch.

You'll have had enough grief earlier in your days supporting City too

I was a bitter blue (MCFC supporter) for many years until our lovely billionaire helped us win a bit more often. Welcome fellow sky blue..do you visit the Etihad on match days?

Hi Espads. Nice to be in touch again after all this time. I'm still in the South of the city. I don't go to matches now but I do try and watch every one on line or the telly. Used to go to Maine Road and been a fan since the Trautmann era. Last match I went to was MU at OT ( pauses to spit). It was a free corporate evening with an excellent dinner and wine...all free. We went out to view the match but I couldn't make out who was kicking the ball at any point so we came in at half time, had more wine with a big cheese platter and watched on the big screen tellys in the restaurant. A memorable evening though. Bournemouth tomorrow evening. Hope you and yours are well.

Hi Ted. We are all well. I have a son who is driving now (Lord help the drivers of north Manchester!) and we have two season tickets for the Etihad which we share with a colleague and his mum who go when we can't.
We went to London by train one Saturday night a year ago, after United were playing at home to some team not from the south and City were playing away in London as we travelled. The train was full; not of away supporters, but bloody United fans going home to London. Pah!

Welcome Ted !
For a little bit of trivia, the only professional football match I've ever been to was Man City versus Paris St Germain and City won. Therefore by default I count myself as a City fan !
I don't yet have a vuvuzela but nonetheless I have been known to whoop involuntarily when one of the chappies kicks the ball especially skilfully.
😉

Yes, excellanto. 2nd in the league now. Was thinking of putting £20 on winning but I bet the odds are down now. Shame about the young star having to limp off. Hope he's ok for next game, Huddersfield away on Saturday. I used to work in Hudd so I've got a reet big load of FB friends over there. If we have a good win there may be some sporty teasing to be had !
