That's about 200 engines at £15k each. Discovery and Range Rover engines that figure per engine may not be wildly out of range.
Three truck loads of engines coming out of an engine plant is not going to register with security in what is probably hundreds/week.

You'd have thought that engines are built and sent to a Jaguar assembly plant and therefore not receiving 200 engines would be noticed.

JLR make something like 1,000 / 1,500 cars a day. They have (I think) three engine plants in the UK (Wolverhampton, Wales and ?). So I'm guessing that the movement of 200 engines could find a crack to fall through.

It's hard to store, transport and sell 200 engines, that all has to be pre planned, and you need to know where in the plant the trailers are. It's no pikey on the spur thievery
