FWD? 4WD? ( aka "girly' drive ) you'll be getting winter tyres on it next...😜 ...evidently, as an MB owner, you need none of those to go on and on and and on and.....Go easy on the guy, he has a hole in his roof the birds shit through.

Nice ! Numberplate's knackered though...😉 The letters came off in the wash So did the National Trust and CLOC stickers in the back window. The 'dog for life' sticker is still there but the others will need replacing before a service/MOT if you take it to a dealer. Nice motor. I've fancied one myself.

Nice looking car. i wouldn't mind that myself. What's it like inside?
Serious question; whats the logic in obscuring the number plate? Given that all of us drive around in public with them on show all the time.

Given that all of us drive around in public with them on show all the time. I'll take some interior shots for you. Number plate obscuring? Without the internet if I wanted to clone a car* I would need to visit car parks, dealers, stand on the side of the road, etc to find a plate that matched the colour of the car. Could take days, and the chances are it wouldn't be mine. With the internet, If I type Volvo XC70, black into Google, loads of the would appear, a good chance being mine. *Million and one reasons to clone cars now not just stolen and resold. Speeding cameras, road charges, parking charges and fines, are all ANPR derived.

There's an element of privacy too: an identifiable picture of my car here could give someone outside a clue as to who 'WDB' really is, which might have a detrimental impact on my career as a serial seducer and international jewel thief.

...hmm; I think I might have a set of roof bars somewhere in the loft (from my V70) that would fit that....

Well, it would maybe make it look a bit "younger" in certain light conditions anyway. I mean I know that's a tough call with a Volvo estate with a dogs are for life sticker on, but it might just help...he might be able to make it look like a bit more of a lifestyle choice sort of thing. Less tweedy.
Oh look it's a very nice car ( for the older gentleman. ) 😎

I still have a set of roof bars to fit my old Mondeo estate which was sold 6 or 7 years ago. Funny how you keep things. Still have a Haynes manual for my 1982 Fiat Panda come to think, it's on a shelf in the garage. Goodness knows why. There's a 30 year old mountain bike of mine in the shed, hasn't been ridden for 20 years, another one of my son's which has been too small for him for 3 years, some wheels and tyres from old bikes which are in good condition but which wouldn't fit any of our current bikes...should really have a clear out.
