Waiting at Frankfurt for my delayed flight home. From the BA app it looks as if there have been delays all day. I know the French controllers have been up to their tricks again but that shouldn't affect Germany too badly, should it? Is there anything else going on?

No, it's the French.

Which flight are you getting back. I see the 16:10 from Heathrow to Frankfurt for example only departed at 19:36. That's near Canterbury at the moment.

You will be flying over French airspace at some point, so yes it will affect you. Plus its "knock on" stuff, you plane has probably been building up a delay for the last 24 hours in its previous flight plans.

915 eventually arrived only 75 min minutes late, which speaks for the ground crew's efforts to turn it around and get us airborne. BA crew were full of apologies although none of it was their fault.

Every year it's the same. French ATC. Go on strike knowing that they are the key to many flights either to/from the UK or over the Atlantic.
The French are revolting in both senses. Can't do a proper day's work without moaning, but want 1.5 days pay.
