House of Cards divides opinion; it even divided mine. The first series was impressive - and fun for spotting how the landmarks of the BBC original were worked in or reinterpreted. The second became practically unwatchable and we haven't bothered with the third.

I don't like series which are hard work, however good that they are. And I found HoC hard work.
The Big Bang Theory I thoroughly enjoy. Its not always genius, and I don't really like the US driven 20 minute format, but overall I find it very amusing, and pleasant.
