We seem to be a canine focussed group.....
Anyone have any other pets apart from dogs? We used to have goldfish, but they gradually died off. As it was my job to clean the tank every ten days or so, I decided the kids could have more fish only if they looked after the tank. Needless to say, the tank is dry.

We had cats. We've not had one since last year when the eldest one we had died - over 19 years old.

Mrs C, and I kid you not, really wants a pet stick insect. She says that's what she is going to do when we retire.
I suppose it will add to the joys of the staring window and those impressions of William the Silent I've been practicing.

You could take it for a walk in the park together. Just don't let any dogs near it.

I'd leaf such budding ideas alone, and let her branch into other ideas.
