Is it fair to pick on someone because they dare to be different. Discuss.

Start that and you'll be out. By all means start a discussion, ask questions and JOIN IN!
An endless supply of statements or simplistic questions and the word discuss is not acceptable.
I'll tell Admin and he can be mean.

Fluffy, please accept some guidance. You have raised an interesting subject but gone about it in a very simplistic and uninspiring way. Now to kick this off, tell us in your own words.
Do you think cyber bullying happens, is on the increase or decrease? Does it happen because people dare to be different or are there any other factors? Have you been cycler bullied? if so what are your coping strategies? Have you cyber bullied others? What are the effect on those who are bullied and those who bully.

So are you saying that I can't be different? Why not?
I am an individual in my own right. Why should I have to be the same as everyone else?
Of course cyber bullying happens, and it is on the increase. People get targeted and picked on, on any social media platform, or forum.
Whether it be verbally, or more recently, cyber porn revenge. Surely that isn't right?

It isn't, Fluffs, but what's your point? Are we all supposed to join in and condemn cyber bullying? We could then agree that poverty, war and disease are bad things too. But that wouldn't be much of a discussion, and discussion is what we're here for.
But if you've got personal experience that sheds light on the subject, or gives us an angle to discuss where, for example, fair comment crosses the line into bullying, that would be welcome. We might learn something, or have our own assumptions tested.
But watch out for the cycler bullies, and especially the folding cyclers. They'll trap your fingers in their hinges, or bash you round the shins with the bloody thing when you're trying to get off the train. They're a menace; I'd lock 'em all up - only someone would still probably steal them.

It was amusing watching someone try to hire a Brompton at Manchester Piccadilly once. Well they must have hired it because they got it out of the locker. Could they unfold it.... heck no. It was laughable. So I then thought maybe it's complicated so looked it up online and saw a video showing how easy it was. I wonder if the cyclist ever unfolded it - and did they then struggle to return it. As for cyber bullying, I hope it doesn't happen on here. I don't think it will.

Bullying usually takes place in a forum where the victim cannot leave; e.g. school, work or chatrooms where someone's main social life takes place. Thankfully here we are older, not dependent on the pub for work or social life, it is a place we retreat to when not doing something more important. ......and we can simply leave without even telling anyone and no one would know where we had gone. It should barely affect us (I would hope).

I first read Admin's typo as 'cyder bullying' which might be interesting, especially in these parts (I live only a mile from the Somerset border). It's usually 'cider', isn't it, but you sometime see it spelt with a y.

Bullying - folding bikes - alcoholic beverage - spelling - thread drift, in the space of about 6 posts! Pretty impressive thread drift.
This is what really makes for an interesting forum, where interesting members can ignore the OP.
Or does this post represent recursion?

Probably be described as a form of cyber bullying? subverting the OP's concerns?

Talking of thread drift I just twigged the Zero-Mitsubishi connection.
Was that intentional from the start or just a 'happy' coincidence?
I just thought the Zero moniker was another nihilistic reference like the knowwun youtube one.
