'ysbty'
I think you mean 'ysbyty'? You left out a y. In English 'hospital'.
The meaning of some Welsh words can only be determined from context too. Take 'ysgol' which means either school or ladder. But someone could climb up a ladder or a school so both of which would be 'dringo i fyny ysgol'. And don't get me on words that are totally different in the North than the South.

I had a colleague who used to say pacific whenever he was trying to say specific. He also had a habit of finishing a lot of sentences with “if you see what I mean?” When those two events coincided, it took all of my powers of self-control not to say “specific?” 😉 In my previous job I had one of those. My microphone was on mute, a lot. |

My personal pet hate is when people say “haitch” instead of “aitch”.
If done too often in quick succession it can induce a twitch in me.

And words with only vowels are allowed in the Welsh language... and we have a few more. So the plural for eggs is wyau. How's it pronounced might remind you of other languages maybe or at least part of it. But it's not the easiest language.
