It has a shorter wheelbase than an E saloon and has more in common with the C. Quite likely that it won’t be as nice to travel in as the E you already have.

Hmm, maybe it was the previous generation which was essentially a C Class, this one does look a bit more E Class in terms of interior. Perhaps these are a bit of an E/C cut'n'shut? But anyway. They’ve given it the fussy rear wheel bulges to tie it to the saloon but they’re purely cosmetic. The C220 CDI of that era is a hateful, tractory thing.
