I think I’d want to keep that in the house and stroke it occasionally. 😉

I've not kept up with reliability of the current Mazda 2.2 diesels. But it was the diesels in the mark I Mazda6 that had a real problem. I know I had one and made sure it did not go bang. It used to inject diesel into the exhaust to help burn the 'soot' in the DPF. Only some of this diesel got into the engine so the oil level went up and of course it was diluting the oil. Therefore the dip stick had a low, full and an X on it. The X was quite a bit higher up than full. If it got to X you were in danger of the engine going bang so the trick was to change the oil a lot earlier.

Thanks. The Mazda6 I had from 2007 to 2011 was nicer to drive than the Mondeo it replaced. This is much nicer still. I did test drive an Arteon too but it was okay. This felt nicer. And with more miles done it was the right choice.

Nice motor, Rob. Love the light interior.
Your neighbour is brave, nice Porsche.

I like the Mazda infotainment system. So much easier than the BMW iDrive.
May you have many happy miles in it.

We still have the Siecento too. The neighbour now has that red Cayman but before that they had an old 911 convertible which became unreliable. Noisy thing with a flat 6.

Years ago my father knew a dentist who owned a 911. There was something in the media that was supposed to be reported as “the Porsche-driving dentist” but a cock-up between the spoken and written word resulted in the article appearing as “the poor striving dentist” 🤪

I preferred iDrive 7 in the 330e. The Mazda6 is okay. Better than the old Mazda6 ICE was like back in 2013/2014.
