PL is looking tight this season, only one win between Leeds and Southampton.
Usually, by Christmas, at least one team is adrift, not this year ! It's going to be tight.
I'm just relieved Newcastle only need seven points from the remaining twenty-two games.

Given the way the top teams are playing, it is Arsenal's to lose and Newcastle and Citeh should be comfortably in Champions League. We may even meet at Wembley for the final of Carabao Cup. ManU, Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs will be fighting for one Champions League place and Europa League. The World Cup has buggered things up big time for the big teams.

Looks like there will be real competition for that fifth spot.
Just read this on BBC football website: Cristiano Ronaldo has a clause in his Al Nassr contract allowing the Portugal forward, 37, to join Newcastle United on loan if they qualify for the Champions League this season. (Marca)
I really hope that's a piece of artistic journalism with not a shred of truth behind it.

Fulham for the Europa spot. You heard it here first.
Oh hang on, is that me being optimistic? Must lay off the Christmas booze now.
We'll be out of the Cup at Hull on Saturday so that'll bring me back down to Earth. A former Fulham player (who also happens to be the son of another former Fulham player) is manager there now, and we gifted them the best midfielder in the second division, who will inevitably score for them. 2-0 Hull, nailed on.

Arsenal played well yesterday but United almost managed to hold on. PIty, as City finally wore down Wolves and made life interesting at the top of the table.

What a wasted opportunity yesterday. Arsenal lost on Saturday and we could have closed the gap before we play them twice, to two points; and we lose to Spurs....
We always lose to Spurs when we play them away.

Good performance from my lads this weekend, but a real shame we couldn't quite manage to beat *them* in the end. And we lost top spot in the West London League to Brentford, but at least we're still above *them*. And QPR nowhere to be seen. Good times to be a Fulham fan, must be absolutely incredible times to be following Brentford. Fair play to them.

Pep looks like he's going to a rave in a Tottenham tower block after the game tonight.

It's where those with final salary pensions see out their days.
Or the Tory party: No officer, this not a rave, we just hired a DJ for our fox hunt.

The whole of ManCity went to a rave last night! What a game.... Pretty pointless if they start stripping titles though. Yeah, I know, City aren't the only ones at it, but blimey. 100-odd charges of financial malfeasance. Surely some kind of punishment is going to be the upshot. Got my tickets booked for Fulham's next cup game with Dirty Leeds. Again, fully expect defeat and exit due to playing second team. (I'll keep on saying that, seems to have worked nicely so far...) Even my lads in Scotchland are doing OK in their cup this year. A quarter final against lower league opposition is not to be sniffed at. *waves wistfully at Falkirk Bairn across the gloaming*

The charges against City are mostly aimed at the Government to show that the Premier League can manage itself. I haven't met a single supporter of any other club who thinks these are anything other than exagerated minor offences committed by every major football team in the last 30 years. I would expect most of them to go away and a handful to remain for which a slap on the wrist and a modest fine applied. No strippig of titles (we are not Lance Armstrong taking performance enhancing drugs), no relegation, no expulsion and if points are deducted, we will probably still win the PL and CL anyway.
Can't take away some fine and historic performances. Agueroooooo's goal in 2012 was not the result of money but fight and determination, as was the Gabriel Jesus last kick of the game against Brighton in 2018 to get 100 points and the three goals in five minutes last May to beat Villa 3-2 and take the Premiership again.
The latest statistic is that since 2018, City are not even in the top 12 net European spenders by way of transfer fees. Chelsea top with a net spend of £665M with Barcelona at £228M. Last year City made a profit on sales rather than a spend. So we cannot be accused of 'buying the Premiership' whereas Chelsea under Abramovitch certainly did and they are still trying to do it now.
