As well as chucking it out through Motorway and WeBuyAnyCar and WirKaufenDeinAuto suppose I can see if anyone here is interested.
My 2011 S60 D3. full service history either at Volvo or a Volvo specialist in Nottingham. All belts replaced in 2019, interim aux belt swap in 2015 and will be done at service in October if no one buys before.
Known faults: Aircon can work or not. Replacement compressor on order as part of service in October at GBP300 plus regas and fitting charge (GBP550 all in).
Current German MOT runs until November 2023. No faults on existing or previous MOTs/TüVs
I'm willing to drive to UK and have service done plus an MOT enabling re-registration. The registration, tax and insurance is down to you.
Motorway price is GBP4,024
I always include a photo of the driver's seat as that gives an indication of the life the car has lead. No warning lights on the dashboard with the engine running.
If anyone is interested I can send more pics.
It has a matching set of GoodYear Winter tyres, the car is picture here on 16" winter wheels KBA approved for Germany. I can throw in the original Volvo Ixion 18" wheels which have been wifed. They are knackered, kerbed, burgered. Will probably cost about GBP400 to get refurbished up to you or I can keep them and use them as winter wheels.

Looks very good for its age. You should have no problem moving it on. If it was an estate and ULEZ I’d be tempted. But if it was, it wouldn’t be four grand!

I was thinking the same as Humph about the estate/ULEZ thing. But I'm still tempted to think about it, BP. How does the boot handle a couple of standard sized large suitcases and a few soft holdalls? What's the rear legroom like, is it better than the old shape S60? Would a 6'1" 85kg person be comfortable over a long distance? Is your asking price the WBAC £4024, and if so is that including the October Service and compressor work being done? It's funny, I'd always imagined your Volvo being the older shaped S60, and black. EDIT to add, I hadn't realised these were such good value. Cursory Autotrader search, here's one on sale at a dealer local to me: www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202204044288191Hang on though, is yours auto or manual, BP?

Just valued my Civic on Cazoo. £11800 offered. That's only £200 lower than in February, which was around used car peak values. £1200 depreciation in 3 years.
Hmm. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..........................

I could do with a new boiler/heating and hot water stuff (don't ask, it's complicated). £5k roughly. I don't have £5k but I have a car worth nearly £12k which I barely use. £5k plus £4k is 9k, leaving me 2.8k to scrub off a bit of my household debt (which is being held at 0%, but does need paying down of course).
Hmm.

My car is the 5 cylinder, two litre D3. It's a variation of the Penta boat engine, with regular oil and filter changes it will be good for over 250,000 miles.
Manual, not auto though.
If you're paying £4k I'd have the service and compressor work done or can deduct off the price and you do it if/when you want.
Boot can take a couple of roller suitcases and backpacks or coats. It currently has the spare wheel kit (spacesaver) take that out and you get a load more space. I've also got the proper Volvo roofbars for roofbox, I'm not selling the roofbox though. Rear legroom is better in this car than the previous S60 at the expense of boot space. If you want to put a really long load in the passenger seat collapses flat and tucks away under the glovebox.

I'll give it some thought but I think a combination of manual and the probable lack of boot space for my needs kyboshes the idea, very tempting though it is and kind of you to offer at that price.
£4k, especially in this inflated market, seems like real value for such a good car. I'd love to own it but I don't think it's quite right for me. Darn it all.

Undoubtedly a nice machine, and the D3 engine is very good — or certainly was in the V70. Curious times we live in, that an 11-year-old car can be worth £4000. I got £750 for my S60 in 2015, which had a year and a few miles on this one — and expired permanently within a year. 😅
Not wishing to queer BPG’s sales pitch but be sure you can live with the parking brake button before taking on a manual S60 of this vintage. It’s an uncharacteristically poor piece of ergonomics for Volvo.

That’s the same Scarab Green as mine. The SE, though, with the 17in wheels. But yes, that’s what I meant by ‘curious times’.

Sorry, didn't mean to come across as contradictory. The value of my Civic at 6 years old now is starting to surprise me. If Cazoo are offering near £12k, they're looking at selling it at £14k, well £13,995, I expect.
Seems to be a "new normal" now. With inflation racing away I can't see the used car market returning to what we once considered normal. In fact, I think the UK used car market was actually perverse in the past, when used cars were far, far cheaper than in comparable countries.
I do like gold Mondeo estates. Squint and you could mistake them for brown. Or green.

It’s an uncharacteristically poor piece of ergonomics for Volvo. No offence taken, I sold my D5 in 2013 with a few more miles on it than this car has for GBP2,000. That old car is still running or had an MOT in September last year with 280,000 miles on it. I tend to do pre-emptive maintenance, gearbox oil changes, undersealing etc that are not part of the scheduled maintenance. Makes them last a bit longer.
The handbrake is OK, not ideal and not what Volvo would have intended from the outset, more of an afterthought. As a driver it's OK, as an instruction car for a new driver an absolute non-starter. You can't reach it from anywhere but the driver's seat.

I've got an offer. I'm not convinced it is a genuine offer, seams a bit high from WirKaufenDeinAuto. I'll take it along and see what they say. I can always drive away and bring my car home if I think they are taking the michael with the chipping of the price.
