Food....

I'm looking forward to trying it out when it opens, but generally the food providers are regulars and well known quantities in the town, so quality is likely to be good.

There's a bit of a buzz of excitement amongst some locals here about it opening. I expect it'll be the usual, i.e. rammed for a while then customer traffic will normalise. I'll be trying it after a few weeks.

This (Blue Collar Food) is the channel through which the Georgian Cafe started in the town, and they are fabulous.

The other thing you've got to try next time you're here is www.clayskitchen.co.uk/ - finest Indian food I've ever had, no exaggeration. And I am somewhat of a con-wass-yuer.

Well obviously somewhere in Reading would suit me down to the ground! Clays Kitchen are just about to move into a larger site in Caversham (an ex-Wetherspoons venue no less), and Blue Collar has been a hit locally and would be a great place to sit and socialise in the summer.

Some on here will tell you it isn't. But I came here as an outsider, many decades ago, and have survived.
