Curious that it’s apparently OK to sit for hours on a live horse but not even briefly on a dead one. And where does this leave those of us who sit on a dead bullock every time we get in the car?

Yes - I'm struggling to see why sitting on a dead horse is such a big issue. An apology would have been enough surely. Better than flogging it anyway....

Clickbait rubbish, this story. Distraction. 130,000 dead, economic collapse due to Brexit, and a client media spewing out crap like this. Our country is not well.
Journalism is broken. Politics is broken. Business is broken, workers' rights are going under the bus. Justice is broken. National Security is broken. 70 years of progress lay in ruins.
Exactly what Cummings wanted, everything that matters is broken.
I sincerely hope that those who voted for this administration are reflecting on their actions.

Look on the bright side, Al. You no longer have a broken Mercedes, and you haven't (yet) got a broken Saab.

My Mum has a horse which I wish would bloody well die. Actually, 2, come to think. She's just adopted another one of the useless, expensive things. I hate horses. Although they go well with a bit of mustard.

The sitting on the horse nonsense proves that we treat animals far too well in the uK. Animal rights up to point are perfectly correct; injuring an animal deliberately is simply wrong. OUr dog is part of the family and we will be upset when he dies, but once dead; its just a carcase.
I suspect it was the way the photo was taken that exacerbated a relatively minor issue to something that makes various bodies look totally stupid. Before condemning/banning how about an investigation??
Ill or dead animals are treated better than humans.

The sitting on the horse nonsense proves that we treat animals far too well in the UK This happened in Ireland. Yes but the trainer and all his horses are banned from UK races. In reality horse racing only exists for gambling. Without that the only horse racing would be amongst friends with no money involved. Why the papers give it so much ink is beyond me. Whilst gambling is rife with all human sport, the sport itself would exist in a similar manner to now without it. Premiership football is mostly funded by TV rights and wealthy owners. The teams supported by betting firms rarely do well....
