Got an email this morning from Leasing.cars (think it is conencted to DSG).
Mk7 Golf Volkswagen Golf 1.5 TSI EVO Match Edition 5dr. Available from £224.04 inc.VAT. 1+35 Payments, 8,000 Miles per annum
Seems like a very good deal especially for those who hate the interior of the new Golf 8.

In general I prefer PCP to Leasing, and of course deals on both methods of ownership vary meaning one can be better value than the other at any given time, and on any given car. But I prefer, in general, to have the option to buy at the end.
At the moment you can get the new shape Dacia Sandero for less than a grand down, and £99 a month. That deal is giving me pause for thought. The Golf deal above does look good if you're in the market.

Tempted. But the Dacia deal looks very good for someone looking for seriously economical motoring but happy but have a new car for the reliability.

I've only ever once leased a car ( the accursed Espace ) and have always felt more comfortable in buying them, but with legislation and technology changing so quickly, it starts to look like more of a plan. Trouble for me is that the leasing costs on a high annual mileage don't usually stack. For our "domestic" cars though, it might look ok.
