Oh Lord..
Having watched all nine Star Wars films over Christmas, my daughter has now got me hooked on Grey's Anatomy. I started watching about ten days ago and I am still only on Series 3 with I think 13 to go....
Then on BBC there is Spiral in the original French
I have barely looked at YouTube...

I tried a bit of Spiral a couple of years ago but didn’t stick with it. Might give it another go. All4 has La Speakerine, which sounds far sexier than The Announcer but is a nice Kennedy-era period piece by either title. And the deliciously preposterous Philharmonia, which inspired my, sadly thwarted, January trip to Paris.
And if you haven’t already tried House MD, it’s waiting for you — but probably stick to one hospital drama at a time, eh?

There's only so much blood I can take at one time.

You just weren't cut out for the black pudding business, were you?

I bought the complete Rumpole of the Bailey a week or so ago. Only got as far as disc 2 so far.
Should keep me going until the light nights kick in.
Each is a standalone episode so no need to keep backtracking to 'get' stuff.
We're currently following the Gaelic soap Machair and Channel Four's It's a Sin. Mrs B keeps needing to 'see it again' so as to grasp who is who and what their role is.......

I watched a bit of Spiral years ago and I thought it wasn't the sort of thing my wife would watch... But then a new series came along and she did. Watched quite a bit. Current series showing but we've still got the last series to watch first. Still not 100% sure we will as it gets a bit 'the same'.
A series we watched a lot of one Christmas was the original series of The Killing. And thinking we'd not hog all the box set from the library over Christmas I ripped it to MP4 format. Only the first half of the series had sub-titles burned in to the video but the second you had to turn it off.... so we got half way through over Christmas holiday period and then didn't have subtitles. Luckily I found subtitles for it online and they could be used with the videos. Otherwise a wait until the library opened and hoped the DVDs were not with someone else! :-)
We tend to wait until we have all of a new series recorded (or enough until the last ones are available) before starting. We don't watch lots of different series at the same time.

I started watching the Breaking Bad series in the first lockdown last March. Finally finished the last episode about a week ago! Seems strange that it’s all over now.

I started watching Breaking Bad and ended up with a Netflix subscription to see the last few series. This was a long time ago. Since watched Better Call Saul too for quite a few episodes.

You just weren't cut out for the black pudding business, were you? Stornoway Black Pudding?? www.charlesmacleod.co.uk/Yum Yum The reveal, per BBC R4 Farming Today but obvious if you think, is that there's not enough livestock on the Western Isles to supply the required blood. Instead it's dried and brought in on the ferry, some at least from outwith the UK. Hopefully not another casualty of Brexit.

Black pudding is horrible regardless of where the blood is sourced from.

Don’t worry, I’ll have yours. Preferably with a thick slice of fried apple on top. 😋
In Cologne I’ve had a dish called Himmel und Erde, which is Blutwurst with mashed potatoes, apple sauce and cabbage done about sixteen ways. And beer, of course.

Only the beer for me and maybe the mash. Was in Prague in 1990 and my veggie brother asked if they had anything veggie apart from the meat and dumplings..... they said the dumplings but I doubt they were veggie either. He declines.
That was in 1990.... beer could be had for about 10p for a 'pint' even near the castle.
