It's brilliant. Looks ace, very practical, cheap to run. I'd want the 2.0 or the V6 myself.
I bet you wouldn't mind a Toyota Celica so much. Same thing, different badge.

Bought a car today for Son #1 to go to London with when he starts work in September. September 2015 Seat Ibiza Visia 1.0T. 37,400 miles in red. Very clean two owner car that drives very well and is 99% immaculate. The dealer, a mile from my office, bought it at three years old ex-lease, sold it to a bloke, who came back last week to swap it for something else. So they have sold it twice.
MoT in October 2018 at 29,400 Miles. MoT in June 2019 at 29,800 Miles MoT in December 2020 (due to Covid) at 34,500 miles.
Only advisories relating to brakes which no doubt are a reflection of lack of use.

I do admit to quite liking it, but it's registered in her name for the sake of clarity. 😉
Anyway, have you seen the Jonny Smith Lada Niva video yet?

Only thing that went wrong were the coil packs. Peppy little things, nice to drive.

Yes - it is peppy. The garage is on a road which leads out of our town up into the West Pennine Moors, so once through the next village it is a long slow hill up to the top. I was expecting the car to need third gear to get up, but it took it in fifth and even had enough torque to feel very comfortable doing it. Modern cars are so good compared to those a decade older. The Punto performs well but is noisy and very basic. This is smooth, quiet, comfortable with a/c, cruise, reversing sensors, electric heated mirrors, fog lights, alloys etc. Here it is Ibiza Vista

Looks nice Esp. Maybe you should think about getting something like that for yourself? Sounds like you find the Merc a bit too quick for you these days...? 😉
