...and I don't mean Mercedes vans, whatever engine they have.
No, prompted by BPG's thoughts on consoles, and memories of 1980s Jaguar-branded tat (and the glass case full of three-pointed paperweights and golf umbrellas in my local MB showroom) I'm thinking of things that have car company badges but really don't need them. Does anyone here have such a thing they're willing to admit to? Or are they strictly for teenage boys and Top Gear viewers - if there still are any that aren't in the first category?

Porsche and Volvo mountain and training bikes spring to mind. When I was posting earlier I refrained form adding pictures of these. I don't have anything other than a Honda and Suzuki bikes with engines. That's allowed because that's what they do.
I've got a golf umbrella and Stormtech jacket with Whiskey manufacturer logos.

I’ve got an Audi umbrella. And the wife bought a German kettle (Siemens?) back in 2007 that also boasts a “Porsche design” logo. It still works too..!

Isn't Siemens HQ in München ? To be fair though, SEAT has worn a 'Porsche design' logo on a 1.5 petrol engine.

System Porsche Engine in the SEAT Ibiza in the 80s.
One thing that's sort of related to this thread was Bentley Motors lost their appeal for trademark usage of the Bentley name on clothes etc. The company using Bentley on merchandise (Bentley Clothing) had been doing so for a long time (since 1962) so now Bentley Motors cannot sell clothing items with the Bentley name.

I think (Google might know but I can’t be arsed) that Porsche Design is an autonomous business within the Porsche group, rather than the car maker just selling its trademark to an outside party. Clearly trades on Porsche cachet, of course, but it’s a bit different from the Jaguar and Mercedes examples.

I think Peugeot are allowed to put their name on road cycles 😁 More a question of Peugeot bikes expanding into the world of motor vehicles. I think the bicycle name has been sold on but the brand is still sold: cycles.peugeot.com/road/legend/lr01
