I remember the squash rackets, don't ever recall a Jagwar kameraaah ! I'm guessing it was a London thing with Chelsea based Golf GTi drivers ?

I knew Jaguar as a brand for squash rackets as a kid but never realised they had anything to do with the cars. So that branding tie up was a failure on me. I might not have been a target customer but I knew about Jaguar cars. Certainly didn't know about the cameras.

Haven’t Peugeot been making salt and pepper grinders for about 100 years?!

And coffee grinders. Hyundai on the other hand make large ships like container vessels. But I'm not sure that was the point in the other thread

Mitsubishi makes ships too. And cameras — but it brands them Nikon.

I used to buy 5.25" Lucky-Goldstar disks for my BBC computer (I added computer for Humph!) when I was a teenager. I now have an LG (formerly Lucky-Goldstar, Life's Good, now LG Corporation) fridge in my kitchen.
In 2011 water apparently had a problem and LG Hitachi Water Solutions was created. Don't you love a company with Solutions to unknown problems in its name ?
LG is also linked to Zenith.
