link"One of three schoolgirls who left east London last year to join so-called Islamic State, is believed to have been killed in Syria, the solicitor representing her family has said." Silly, silly little girl. But it is no surprise and she and her family have only themselves to blame. Yes children go and do stupid things, but to go off to become, or 'marry' a terrorist is ....well, words fail me. If people like her thought about it, the killing would stop, because they wouldn't fuel the numbers of martyrs trying to reach the war zone.

I have no sympathy, and it was a not unexpected outcome. But Fuelling the numbers? How many have gone over? about 50 girls and 400 blokes? About the same number of people you would find in Luton Primark on a Saturday afternoon, out of a national population of 60 million. Not an issue in my book. Also it seems that ISIS numbers are dying faster than they can recruit brainwashed martyrs.

I'm not sure stopping them going if they are a danger is a good idea. Making sure they never come back (take passports) is one thing to aim for. If they can be bombed with the rest of IS well that's fine by me - they chose to go into harms way.

The only person gaining out of this is the family solicitor is seems.

Just in case they are trained and try to come back is why I said take passports. If we could be sure they got bombed then that's a more permanent solution. If they want go out to Syria or wherever and live with terrorists then they can accept the dangers.

you can be assured that anyone who has been to Syria, and comes back to the UK will be watched and monitored tighter than a ducks ass. Its the very less high profile terrorist you need to worry about. 'Off the grid" is the security services biggest concern.

I have tons of sympathy for many of them.
One dodgy mate less, one dodgy girl/boyfriend less and life could have been different.
Sure some of them, and some of their parents, will be bad people but not all of them will be.
It makes you wonder how miserable their life must be, at least in their own minds, that such a decision seems attractive.
Very sad.

To a teen you only need to make it sound much more exciting or make it sound like you can make a difference, that you will be listened to or you can rebel. Its the reasons teens do silly things. In any culture.
