Oddly it looks like there was no traditional manual option on Giulias. Well, I can't find any for sale second hand. I was not aware of that.
I'd love a 159 as the answer to my current conundrum, but insurance groups are astronomic.

Wonder how one of these would depreciate over say 12 months? Assuming it's reliable enough.
Maybe I should buy one to run for the next months when I am due another car and then save the money I save not having a car and taking the money. Then when I don't need the car (e.g. I try living in Greece) then I sell it to recoup most of the money I spent. Food for thought.
Got a demo lined up for a car Al will despise because it's an SUV. And XC40 PHEV. Tax for BIK will be a lot less than may other cars despite the list price. And save on petrol by charging it for free.

An Alfa Mito would give your lad plenty of street cred, although by all accounts it wasn't as good as car as it looked.

Forgot to say the Alfa Al linked to is a great looking car. I had an Alfa 156 2.0 for a few months when my Passat was off the road. Really nice to drive. I'd have an Alfa.
But a neighbour had a Mito and it was so unreliable they got rid. All problems sorted under warranty but with it so unreliable they rarely had the car.

Rob, when you've had your demo in the XC40, do let us know what you think.
I was a bit disappointed with it when I tried one 2 years ago - too wallowy and a bit like a Qashqai. But then all the demonstrators were diesels and the PHEV may be different. Expensive for a private buyer, but should be good news as a company car.

There's one parked a few houses up the road from me. I admit to admiring it when I walk past with the dog. Difficult to make an SUV look nice, but somehow they've achieved it with the XC40.

So wait a mo, a 900 and something cc 4 seater Aygo is bad, but a 900 ish cc 4 seater Mito is good?
Ohhhh....Kay.....
But you're not at swayed by badges you say?

Mito is a proper sized supermini class car. Aygo is a bean can "city car". Mito compares to Yaris, not Aygo.

You could turn up at the school re-union in a Mito too.

I turn up to those in a taxi or a train so I can get hammered.
