Really - 60 year continuous use?? Don't recall the Octavia from before the Mk1 in the late 90s? It's one of those produced in the former Soviet rule days. It went into production in 1959 apparently. Suspect there must have been a break to the VW product. Focus has already celebrated it's 21st birthday. Mondeo name is 27 this year.

I know the UN likes Land Cruisers. So, if you see a white Land Cruiser heading your way you know you're in trouble, especially if Kate Adie is inside.

Honda Civic. Must be 1972 continuous model name? I recall my father renting one in 1975 in Malta and it wasn't new.

I was going to go with Humph and say Morgan Plus 4, but Googled it to see when the name came in (1950): but Wikipedia (which of course may be wrong) says 'Plus 4 production ran from 1950 to 1969. It was revived in 1985 and filled the gap between the 4/4 and the Plus 8 until 2000. It was again revived in 2005.'
That leaves the Range Rover (1970). One could debate whether this is a model or a brand, but as (unlike MINI) it's manufactured by a company who also make other models, I'd say it's a model.
After that, yes, it's the Civic (1972) and the Fiesta (1976). The BMW 320 started in the mid-70s too I think.

First Holden, and soon Vauxhall? GM want to exit from RHD markets. In a similar vein I see that Ford plan to close around 50% of their UK dealerships?

Vauxhall no longer GM but Peugeot now. The RHD market is not small but you have to want to compete in it.

The RHD market is large but fragmented. If your cars are designed for European tastes but aren’t selling in the UK, you can try your luck in Ireland, Cyprus or Malta, but that’s it. They’re unlikely to have more than niche appeal in India, Southern Africa or Japan, or even in Australasia. Lancia and, to a large extent, Renault, decided RHD wasn’t worth the bother, so it’s easy to see how PSA might make a similar decision.

Think Lancia have given up on driving on any side of the road....

I guess that corona virus would have killed off Holden sales anyway!
Who’s next do you think? Honda are ready to scale back in Australia apparently.
Who’d go shopping for a new car right now anyway?

People whose contracts are expiring will either have to extend or get a new car. But any one with excess mileage must be grinning now...
