I am just a little bit smitten with Honda these days, I don't think I'd care too much about the image thing personally. I am sure though that my son will disagree heartily in 2 years time...

You can possibly get away with the Civic in isolation.
Start asking about pipes, tobacco blends, pipes and slippers and you're probably on your own - I say probably 'cos I have my suspicions in this place.

I have started wearing slippers (because the new house has lots of hot and cold floors), but but pipes tobacco and cigars are beyond me. Why would you mess up your own car?

Oddly enough, SWMBO did have a Honda Jazz, back in 2002 when they'd just come out, so before the OAP image took hold.
It was OK, no more: certainly reliable and brilliant use of space, but it was crying out for a more powerful engine and a sixth gear. It was far lesss relaxed at motorway speeds than the little Ford Ka which preceded it. We remember the Ka very affectionately.

The far eastern models of the Jazz had more powerful engines. Maybe Honda didn't want a boy-racer image for a family car? I would though.

In think Hondas have a boy racer image in the States, even Jazzes.
I have slippers. Several pairs. Parquet floors, you see. Benefits of a 60s/70s style house.
