Must have been at a loose end this afternoon, but happened upon this while looking for something else. www.admiral.com/car-say-about-you/speed-datingHaving discovered my own ideal match - based on my own car, assumed (from the car) age, status and political outlook, and sundry generalized leisure interests, I can only wonder whether I'll subconsciously change my choice of parking slots.

Suzuki Splash! The only person I know who drives one must be 75... A bit old for me if not for Macron...

Well done, Esp. I was waiting for someone else to have a go before revealing this: Apparently its drivers have only a 3% likelihood of speeding. Mine is 17%.

Ford Fiesta? Bloody hell, couldn't be more dull. At least it wasn't a Fusion I suppose.
My ideal lady drives a Maserati Quattroporte, thanks very much.

Then I think you’ll need to be careful with your political outlook. Apparently the CLS makes mine ‘right wing’, but ticking the ‘left’ box in the quiz propelled down the biscuit tin aisle.
An Audi TT would do. A very eligible female friend drives one of those.

My leftish wing, 72 year old financial controller drives a Mazda MX5. What does that say about him?

Please tell us he doesn't pull up alongside female pedestrians and exclaim "Ding Dong!" 😮

In a thing that small, he has to announce himself somehow or they wouldn’t know he was there; bit like a bell on a bicycle. Come to think of it, maybe that’s what the i3 could do with, for a different reason.

Come to think of it, maybe that’s what the i3 could do with, for a different reason. One could make a quite unkind comment about BMWs not needing an extra bell, due to there usually being one in the driver's seat, but I shan't do that.

No, that wouldn’t do at all. Good job you didn’t.

It could be argued that it's not the car that leads to the boredom but what you do with it. I've had some great road trips in the most basic of vehicles, ( as discussed elsewhere ) But, I do see what you mean.

I never loved the E220, but I hugely respected it for its capabilities. (I did love, however — and still miss — the E’s second sun visor.) And we did some great trips in it. It’s the car that took us across the Millau viaduct and on to Clermont Ferrand for pizza.
Conversely, the CLS isn’t very thrilling when it’s parked on the drive. But given a suitably epic road and destination, I’ve known nothing like it. Probably the closest to true Grand Touring that I’ll ever know.
