Comfort over fashion, and style is never out of date. There we go.

Of course, just what I was going to say, quite right.... 😋 ...certainly ample enough for a 500m walk..... (do you bother getting out of your PJs?) ;-)

What I have noticed, in the passing, is the increased number of oddly shaped individuals wearing tracksuit bottoms and trainers despite clear and present evidence of their sketchy relationship with excercise. 🤔

Everybody has to start from where they are. If this business ends with a few unfit people a bit fitter, it will be some compensation while we contemplate the ruin of our children’s future.
MrsB1, who is as fit as a butcher’s Christmas pudding, is pursuing a ‘couch to 5k’ programme, with the aid of Sarah Millican. She says she’s making progress, although six weeks in, the couch seems not to have moved. Probably just as well.

I do like the look of that Kona one. The blue thing looks like it’s built down to a price — in fact looks a lot like the 1990s Trek I used to use — but the Kona looks like a thing you’d look forward to riding. Assuming the chainring is 48-38-28 (not that a bike like that needs three ranges) then 48:11 is a very brisk top gear, And 28:34 is a real ‘granny gear’ that will get you up anything — eventually.
650b wheels, though. And 47mm tyres. You’ll like those.

Both have mechanical discs, which wouldn't be my first choice, I'd pay the extra for hydraulics, but, from what Esp has told us about his likely usage, they'd be fine and certainly better than rim brakes.

wrong shade of Blue for a City supporter.... But the Kona looks interesting. Need to understand the sizing. I'm 5'7" and 29" inside leg.. (yes short).

Best to get to a shop. I ordered my brown bike sight-unseen but only because I already had the blue one from the same maker and comparing the geometry charts showed me it would fit. (I got quite good at reading geometry charts, although I’m still not sure I’d actually notice a difference in ‘trail’ or ‘head angle’ on the road.)
A shop will probably advise you to go for the smaller of two sizes that ought to fit. You can always size-up a bit with a different stem, but it’s trickier if you can’t reach the handlebars, or if your sporran lands on the crossbar as you dismount.

Ouch....
If I had a sporran, which I don't... not being you know, Scottish.
OK; maybe time to head to a shop which mich actually be open. Think I will be wait until the PM permits general visiting to shops. Not overly keen on it at the moment.
Went to inspect two houses today but both were empty prior to inspection and I wore a mask and gloves when I met the owner and during the inspection as I don't know when they were last occupied - builders had been in both in the last 24 hours. Probably overkill but until someone in authority says I am being silly...
