You're all so young! I can remember the days when you had to pay extra for the Deluxe version of cars like the Morris Minor to get a heater (recirculating), bumper over-riders, and - the ultimate luxury - a passenger's sun visor.
The basic one was often called Standard, which may have been part of the reason why Standard cars were phased out in favour of Triumphs, even though Standard was meant to denote a flag.

Back in the mid 60s, a friend had a (standard) Standard 8 (sans chauffage).
He as a plumber, and other friends were bus mechanics, so it ended up with a bus passenger compartment heater neatly installed. Didn't half get hot, Mum!

Reminds me of a "upgrade" a school friend made to his Mum's discharge green/yellow Austin Landcrab. Loudspeaker installed behind the grille, connected to a microphone in the cockpit. We would drive around town at lunchtime looking for sub-sixth formers illegally out of school and loudly harangue them. One of our gang of prefects did eventually become a copper in the Met, loved the job he did, sadly copped a brain tumour and was a goner aged 40.
Life's too short.

You're telling me, I went to the gym last night and was asked if I'd heard about "Joe" , Joe wasn't the fittest guy, carried a bit of weight and so on, but he was trying to do something about that. Petrol head too. Just recently treated himself to a ( second hand ) Panamera. Lovely friendly guy who would chat to anyone and help anyone out if they needed it.
He entered a half marathon last weekend, first time he'd done anything like that. Heart attack and died halfway round. He was 51.

Bloody hell, poor sod. Two mates of mine in their forties have recently had heart attacks out of the blue. Both fit, active guys. Both made it through but one only marginally, and was nearly kyboshed by lack of a lift to the heart unit at Hammersmith hospital. So when he'd recovered he ran the Athens marathon to raise money for a new one to be built. He got the dosh, and the thing has now been built. Google "Mark Davies heart attack" and his blog will tell the story.

Things/events like that can sometimes reset your thinking. For example, we had more or less decided not to bother with a main summer holiday this year. The house needs a bit of work and we had thought we'd spend the time/money doing some of that.
Then, last night, when I was telling my wife about the news I'd heard, it came to me that life is indeed short and that free time is precious.
We're now going to the south of France for our holiday, booked it last night. If I inadvertently find that I'm going to snuff it any time soon, I'd rather have the recent memory as the lights go out of a pleasant family holiday than of re-fitting the kitchen and painting the downstairs bog !
