Hols..

No real purpose to this post, just sat quietly alone, reflecting. Well other than the rapidly diminishing wine supply.

We, two daughters and I, are camping. We love camping and do it a lot. Even in the UK.

Camping here though, is rather cool. Its been in the low 30s all week, forecast to stay that way for another month or two.

We're camped maybe 30ft from what is, apparently, a 45 sq mile lake with perfectly clear water. The backdrop is an active volcano, though it hasn't had a major eruption for a number of years.

All cooking done on a campfire and the only sound I can hear is the girls playing out in the lake in kayaks. Or maybe canoes, I never know the difference.

I know we're not the only ones here because I can see another tent a bit away, though maybe they've died because there's been no movement for a few days. But that's about it.

Sometimes life is just rather pleasant.

But it does rather make me wonder why I have spent so much of my life rushing between the World's major cities.
