Curious. Typing ‘didcot station’ into the phone app turned up this easily enough. It’s by the railway line, if that helps. 😛 Didcot Parkway railway station Didcot OX11 7NR goo.gl/maps/5NFZpG7tU7KQWM5XA(The ‘Parkway’ bit was added in about 1986, when the station received an exciting new… …car park.) One positive thing about Didcot: it’s further from Reading.

It's a Google maps thing. I can see a railway symbol for Cholsey but not for Didcot or Temple Meads for that matter.
I suspect it's a points of interest thing with maps showing me Sainsbury's, Tesco superstore, Didcot girls school, Booker and Tesco distribution centres. Probably based on some generic most searched algorithm or similar.

My memory of Didcot is that the station is the point of interest. We could be generous and count the Great Western Society yard separately from the station.
But there’s an arts centre now, apparently. MrsB1 went to something there in the summer.

(The ‘Parkway’ bit was added in about 1986, when the station received an exciting new… …car park.) It was a fashion at the time. Easter 1985 saw Mrs B and I taking our bicycles by train down to Cornwall. Bodmin Road station had recently been re-named Bodmin Parkway. Some wag programming the departure board at Paddington had it read Bodmin Car Park...

Just had my biennial eye test courtesy of my employer, at Specsavers. Slight increase in prescription, now up to 2.75 for reading, 3.0 for VDU work. Distance vision pretty much perfect still. So I am getting occupational varifocals, and with vouchers from work it's worked out at £99 for two pairs all in. Not three bad. Also bought some half moon readers to keep in each car, now I can keep those on and they'll be far more comfortable than balancing an ordinary pair on the end of my conk so I can read the satnav on the phone.

…balancing an ordinary pair on the end of my conk... Autocorrect has its good points.

If he can line that up with his sat nav he’s a better man than me! 😬
