Same with other people's chips. Don't count if you eat someone else's.

Same with other people's chips. Don't count if you eat someone else's. ...is that a euphemism similar to 'You never miss a slice from a cut loaf'?

Never heard of that one. Sounds depressingly Yorkshire-ish.

Never heard of that one. Sounds depressingly Yorkshire-ish. ...I don't think it is, though interestingly I think a (dim and distant past) work colleague in Reading, who used it about his (alleged, married) conquests, was from Doncaster originally.

Imagine that, y'know, thinking you'd escaped from Doncaster only to fetch up in Reading? Some folk get dealt really bad hands in life don't they?

You should probably have gone for "evoke" there.

Ach well, at least in my case there's been a few other ( some mildly interesting ) places in between. In my experience if you don't stay anywhere too long they don't have time to find you out. But I'd have to agree, this place is about as interesting as a waiting room. Edinburgh, despite its carbuncles, at least has some lights on.

Do Garibaldis have more vowels than other biscuits? No, probably Chocolate Digestive has that accolade This has, you do realise, now become a challenge. I may not sleep tonight pondering how to top that. Is there such a thing as a Double Chocolate Garibaldi? Because if there is, you're stuffed.
