Ian, pass on my best to your family.
We're forecast for a cooler Christmas day this year, around 28 degrees.
Up at the crack with the children, hours of opening and then playing with presents, then I shall get plastered while barbecuing before retiring early to bed having drunk and eaten too much.
Have a great time everybody.

"She" is on the Baileys already. This may not end well... ....IMO. if it's Baileys, it hasn't even started well.......... I have a glass of Jaipur in front of me. Don't actually drink much beer at home now, or indeed anywhere else now come to think of it. but the Jaipur is a nice little treat after finishing the mince pies (baking, that is!).

Jezuz, I am knackred and it aint even kicked off properly yet.
Went up to town this AM to see S-I-L, expecting the traffic to be evil, and it was a breeze! Surrey to Clapham Common in 33 minutes! Expecting it to be bad on the way home? 35 minutes! Where is everyone!
Then off to friends locally for mince pies and wine, then a take away thai on the way back, and now on the Disaronno on ice! Should be quieter tomorrow!

Almost 25th December here in the 'Holy Land' Was about 18C but with some storms. However nice to see my father and son who we haven't seen for two months. Sat on the plane with a young Glaswegian lad, Catholic by birth. "My grandma says I must go to Bethlehem on Christmas Day and say a prayer". I hope he makes it. He drank large quantities of alcohol on the five hour flight, but did not seem to worse for wear; could certainly hold his alcohol far better than my 16yo lad and me.
Latest rental car is a Hyundai i25. A nice small four door saloon, reasonably spacious, but the steering is too light and dreadful turning circle. However, very nice central screen which has Waze satnav built in. So its the best of both worlds...built in screen which is much larger than a phone and free updated maps for as long as Waze exists. What's not to like?
Anyway, wishing all of you who celebrate in church a Merry Christmas, those of you who don't Seasons Greetings. Enjoy whatever you do.

For me 2016 has been full of stuff, most of it life changing. (or potentially so)
Suddenly we are out of Europe, The prospect of Trump as POTUS, my mother died, I broke my hip.
Not sure I have ever had so much change or stress in a single year. Thank god for alcohol.

Oh I don't know, this next year could be worse still, on his own admission, James Blunt is releasing a new album in 2017...😫

If they built them in China instead of Pasadena they'd be much cheaper. I'll suggest that to Trump.
