..I know some people aspire to owning a car with a panoramic sunroof - I picture them as wanting a naff accessory to match the "Love/Hate" tattoos on their knuckles, and the faux-oriental-language one round their neck that they got in Bangkok, and they think says "Tracey", but really spells "w*nker".
..anyway, in a past life, I was surprised to find that glass in a panoramic sunroof was an exclusion in a number of insurance policies. Just sayin'...but on the off-chance that anyone on here (god forbid) might have one, it would be worthwhile checking their insurance policy.....

I may need one on my future Tesla, since the glass roof apparently offers better headroom than the normal one. There's time to work on the tattoos before then. I'm thinking of a snake winding around one arm and a Chinese dragon on the other.

It is indeed a thought when loading / unloading mountain bikes on the roof.

I've never really given much thought to having a tattoo. Well, I did once consider having some socks tattooed on when I lived in a warm climate so that one could appear fully dressed but still have cool feet. Never got around to it though.
Never quite got the tattoo thing. Bit too permanent. I mean, one day might feel entirely like a T-shirt sort of a day, and another might call for a suit I suppose, but both items can be discarded or substituted at a moment's notice. A tattoo though, it's always just "there", appropriate to the moment or not.

South American females are more likely to be tattooed than not. I don't like the look on a young and fit body, but on ladies over a certain age it is really awful.

...the original post, though joking, was a serious suggestion to Humph.
The now defunct insurance on SWMBOs Fiesta explicitly excluded any Panoramic Sunroof glass, and replacement is pretty expensive.
(not that I'd allow her such fripperies anyway).

Might get one after all, I thought perhaps a full sized Golden Eagle on my back with its wings running down the backs of my arms so you could make it look like it was flying by flapping your arms. What do you think? Or should I start with something more subtle?

A tattoo though, it's always just "there", appropriate to the moment or not. It entirely depends on where the ink is, and what (subject, size, location) the ink is. Some of them, depending on those criteria can be acceptable under all circumstances. The ex PMs wife Samantha has one. I'm pretty sure thats not why he resigned.

He bought her an old Nissan Micra shortly before he did. I reckon that was a bit of forward planning.

Worth mentioning that it is probably excluded just from the glass section of the policy, rather than excluded from the policy as a whole.
The impact of that being that the glass is covered, but a claim is subject to both AD excess and NCD loss.
Worth checking, assuming that you have both a panoramic sunroof and the ability to read.

Or care, in fairness, you'd have to care.

I have to say thats a pretty perverse conclusion. I wonder what Carl Jung would say about that word association.
