Bit dearer than a second hand FIAT 124 Spider, mind you.

I love the idea of a two seater roadster. I’ve had a few of them over the years and enjoyed them all. However, like most people who get them, I’ve sold them on fairly quickly because ultimately, the dream doesn’t align with reality. Unless it’s going to be your sort of spare car, a lot of the time, they just don’t work.
We’ve toyed with having one now that our time is our own, and I’m sure we’d enjoy it for a while, but it wouldn’t be all that useful to us on a daily basis.
When we go on holiday, we like to take our bikes, scuba gear, other kit and luggage, so it’d be no use for that.
At home, we go mountain biking regularly and similarly it’d be rubbish at that task. Useless for the supermarket run, and although I do a quick cross country dash most evenings to the leisure club, that’s in the dark for 9 months of the year.
Welsh roads are on our doorstep more or less, but they are either traffic full, or camera infested, so not much joy there either.
Just can’t see how we’d get much out of such a car anymore.

Trouble is, I/we still kind of want one again. Seems silly to buy one and not use it much though.

Aye true, but it would be like me having a new suit made now. Nice to have, but no real need for it.
