I meant the diesel not the car, not squared off van enough for your wants/needs.

Not sure if the CLS has a drain plug in the tank. If it has, I'm certainly not going looking for it. It'll be down to half full by Friday, I expect, and the rest is just a rounding error in the deal. If I'd known it was going to happen this quickly, I might have picked an earlier transition date for the E.On EV tariff, but the car will arrive with a full battery and the general prices go down next week anyway, so that's a tiny difference too. Bit of planning to do for the Yorkshire trip, as we're staying out in the wilds with only some slow and expensive Podpoint chargers in Hawes for comfort. 62p a unit for 7kW makes you wonder who they're for but I don't think I'll be able to granny-charge the car at the house we're renting, so there may be little choice. This may be as tough a test as the iX will face, and in its first month with us, but as long as nobody makes me stick my hand up a cow, I'll cope.

There'll be some chargers with a bit more oomph on at least one of your grand days out. You might have to suffer Betty's in 'arrogate for a few hours.
Three years ago, when we took our EV to Edinburgh, rural Northumberland and the Scottish borders had very little/zero charging facilities. Wasn't really a surprise, there's no petrol stations there either. Whatever you're in needs planning.
Just get ready for the repeated, what is it ? 'ow much ? questions.

I don’t suppose anyone will take any notice. Even its girth won’t be a concern in North Yorkshire because in those lanes, every car is too wide.

Saw another iX, in white, on my way home. Seem to be an abundance of white iX rolling out round here.

I’ve only noticed one white one, somewhere in leafy Buckinghamshire. I like it in white, but the effect of parking one next to a white i3 might have been over-cute. Most here seem to be black, which hides all the clever detailing and reduces the shape to a blob.

I've been playing with the Ford Explorer configurator, not because I want one, just fiddling, the lighter colours do at least show what styling effort has been made. Black hides it all.
I've read there is a second EV from Ford to be announced later this summer, maybe doing something about the overall SUV upright styling.

I think Beelzebub will have frost bite before that happens.

Apparently he likes estate cars. No idea where I got that idea, though; not like he ever mentions it.

Also Morgan or was it Caterham from his yoof ? 👹
All in the dim and distant now, I suppose.
I always did have problems staying awake in History.

No, I think that was just some shopping centre he used to loiter around after school. Bluewater, was it? Or Meadow Hall? Something like that anyway.
