... And what you've got is someone selling a 2015 diesel capable of 50+ mpg replacing it with a 1967 MGB GT V8 capable of 18mpg, no annual safety test required, no catalyst in the exhaust and cheap classic insurance.
Edit: I suspect if the authorities had done nothing people would have naturally progressed to cleaner vehicles. Why did they legislate to make the most polluting vehicles exempt ? Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.
