Can’t you just get an exercise bike for the spare room Humph and wire up the back wheel to a dynamo? Kill 2 birds etc!

Ah, the Cheshire mountains. How I miss them. I used to commute daily between Radbroke Hall and the west side of Sheffield over some little bumps called the Pennines, not on a push bike though.

I was near Radbroke Hall today - worked there for quite a few months many years ago. Around the time Windows NT 4.0 was coming out of beta.
We were planning on going to North Wales but aborted that when we realised they had closed the M56 between J11 and 12 over the weekend.

Yes. The new bridge is in place and in use. This weekend and last they have been demolishing the old one.
Without traffic on the old bridge, was there an option to just leave it I wonder? Structurally it was reinforced some years ago.
