So if I have a hoodie that zips up... Is that a fleecy hoodie or an hooded fleece?

Dunno, but unless it’s purely for wearing while gardening, it’d probably be best to get rid. 😉

Isn’t a hoodless hoodie a sweatshirt, not a fleece? It’s made of that same brushed cotton fabric — and, unlike fleece, it gets wet and stays wet.
The young people I see around the house occasionally leave me a wet hoodie in the washing machine, presumably as a treat. Even post-spin, it’s a heavy, heavy thing.

I'm talking a nice heavy cotton material, zip up without the hood on. I use fleeces for skiing.

Now you know everyone will pick that apart. (Apart from Vić, presumably.) I’ll start. Chinos and a tie? Is that not the done thing? I confess it's q uite frequent for me. It's like a scale;
Jeans Chinos w/o tie Chinos with tie Suit Dark suit Evening Formal.
I've got a thing in a couple of weeks and I am informed that the dress code is "Ascot". I am currently unsure what to make of that. Surely they can't mean the whole bit?

I would prefer a hoodie, but without the hood, IYSWIM. Seems to be an impossible ask. Hence wearing hoodies quite regularly. Like this? I love mine. Though I am not sure that you are eligible for or sufficiently worthy of this particular high class and sought after example. www.amazon.co.uk/WRU-Official-Black-Fleece-Jacket/dp/B07DDLM3WM

Ascot - does that mean very high heels, short and very tight dress and a feathery hat? You'll look great!

I'm a bit worried that he thought it in the first place. I've never really worried about someone's image of me before, but now.......

It’s ok, even when you come to the uk, he’ll have to stop and charge up before he gets anywhere near you so you’ll have plenty of time to escape. 😂

Aside from them using models who look about 12, most helpful, thank you.
