I haven't tried them before. I'll go out and see if my bike fits easily. It is normal adult size, of course, not extra lank. Hang on. EDIT: Yep

If he's in Liverpool he needs a car without hubcaps as they will only get nicked.... A lab is a large dog but there are different sizes of Lab. How about a Berlingo or similar?

You wouldn't want my bike inside your car.
Anyway, what sort of dog is a Berlingo?

Oh, talking of Berlingos, one of our sales guys ( who runs his own car ) turned up yesterday to our meeting with a new Berlingo van. Latest model, brand new, and he's had some tarty bits added like black paint and black alloy wheels. Automatic too. Hell of a big loadspace. No back seats of course, but three seats in the front. Looked kind of purposeful actually. Sliding doors to access the loadbay both sides. Rear view camera where the rear view mirror would normally be. I can see exactly why he's bought it. But I don't want one. Looks a bit too much like a "private ambulance".

EDIT: Yep View AttachmentNot sure that qualifies as a bike at all. I am impressed that it goes in - and a bike like mine, with a narrower handlebar, might actually be an easier fit, although the full-size wheels and taller stack might work in the other direction. But, as Humph suggests, the number of places where you'd want to take one bike, then drive home afterwards with everything it and you had picked up, is quite limited. Still handy for taking it in for repairs, I suppose, or for getting a single family member and bike home after an en-route mechanical emergency, as our car has done a couple of times.

Hang on, did Bromp Jr ever get this new car? He did. In the end he got a Pug 2008 67 reg for around £7k. Well chuffed with it although he seems to have turned the interior into a skip within a couple of months. Even with a decent car he cannot be persuaded of the necessity to check the oil though.

Glad to hear it, apart form the oil thing! Is it a petrol engined one? More deets please Brompters. My niece, who had been the owner of a bruise coloured, greenish yellowish Citroen C1 horror for many years, has just upgraded to a 67 reg Citroen C4 Cactus, I would imagine those and the 2008 are similar vehicles under the skin. It's a 1.2 petrol manual, she's utterly chuffed with it and my daughter now wants one. Fire engine red, or DCR to give it the proper title.
