I find that the BMW/Mini delaer that Espadrilles car goes to, to be rather inefficient in terms of serviing and knowign what and when to do things. Land Rover were the same wth the Evoque but Mercedes are on the ball with my car.

Crooked, yes that makes sense. In Yorkshire isn't it? ...remind me not to go on any cycle ride you've organised....

Derbyshire then, same sort of thing. Whippets, pigeons, pies, rhubarb and so on isn't it? Flat caps etc?

On the contrary, I make a point of regarding and treating everyone as an equal until they give me cause to review that. Neither look down on anyone, nor indeed look up to anyone unless either of those perspectives become patently appropriate due to their conduct or demeanour.
What might be falsely interpreted as disdain is often mere dismay.
"It's life Jim" etc.

The 'van is due in for the base vehicle service next week (hopefully a fairly quick job), and then the week after off down to Somerset for the quick check that is going to take a week . It's not as though it's MOT time, but I decided to do a quick run round the 'van anyway. Must be psychic, as it threw up a (partially) failed high-level reversing lamp that is a Hymer, not Fiat part. It's still under warranty for a month, so that's something more they can do during its holiday with them. (It's at least a 10 minute job - the unit itself is supposedly sealed - it isn't 'cos its got water in it, which is presumably why it's borked - it is only secured to the 'van by two screws, and the wiring join is inside, easily accessible with lots of wire to spare. I could do it myself in 5 minutes, but the part is around £40 retail, so they can earn their keep). Surprisingly, they have the light in stock, and have agreed a warranty replacement on the back of a photo. Also agreed a (distanced) meet up with number one daughter, who we haven't seen since Christmas, and is currently domiciled in Exeter, so not a completely wasted trip.
